Scientology Books and Lectures Improve Life

CN completed the Handbook for Preclears/Life Continuum Book and Lecture Course. She says, “I really enjoyed this course. Having wins on data I had never applied to myself and seeing great results (sympathy for fat people!!) to really understanding why stable data are so important and dangerous—leading right back to the logics and axioms and evaluation of data. I see this whole presentation of the book and lectures as a very elegant flowering of what had come before. I love having it as my own. It makes me smarter!”

Communication

The ability to communicate is one of the most fundamental abilities of a being. The processes of Grade Zero address a person’s ability to communicate and free him, in his own estimation, from any blocks in the area, thus restoring the ability to communicate to anyone about any subject. Ricky completed this Grade and says, “The relief I got to be able to communicate with others myself is so great! The added feature is the increased ARC with others and knowledge that goes along with it. I highly recommend this process to all!!” Here is a photo of Ricky and his auditor Carol.

Study Basics

Naz studied and completed a course on the study technology developed by L. Ron Hubbard and contained in the book, The Basic Study Manual.  She said, “I never thought that I could really learn so much from a heavily-illustrated book but I threw that consideration away once I began to see the manifestations of misunderstood words with my own eyes in real life. Now I know that I have the tools to learn and acquire knowledge more effectively. That is the best feeling to have before I study more subjects.”

Seminar!

This Saturday at 4 PM we will present a seminar by a very great speaker, Mr. Rick Melrose.  Rick has been lecturing people on the subject of Scientology for over 30 years and has enlightened thousands.  This week he will speak on the subject, “What is Greatness?”  As usual, we will have amazing home-baked treats.  Don’t miss it.

Who is Rick? Rick’s multi-faceted career embraces a number of disparate but relevant areas: advertising, electronics, art, music, broadcast communications, and business administration. Rick’s understanding of the fundamentals of physics and electronics range far beyond his AA in Communications Electronics from the College of San Mateo, where he also studied art.

As an electronics technician at the Space Sciences Laboratory at UC Berkeley, Rick built the signal processing electronics carried aboard the infrared spectrometer on the Mariner Mars program, which performed flawlessly on its flyby of Mars. He also worked for GTE Lenkurt.

A musician, Rick played guitar with Jerry Garcia, Dave Nelson, Robert Hunter, and other now-famous musicians of the sixties prior to their rise in such groups as the Grateful Dead and New Riders of the Purple Sage, and has been interviewed for books and articles on Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, Neal Cassady, Ken Kesey and others he knew during that era.

After an overseas stint in the service, he studied radio, TV and film at San Francisco State University, and emceed and performed live and television broadcast concerts in California and Germany.

Next came a study of business establishment and management and the managing of divisions in several organizations. Rick for many years delivered seminars and provided consulting for numerous companies, including Mattel Toys, Republic Bank of Texas, ARCO, and Getty Oil – on subjects ranging from communication skills to negotiation to business management.  He is currently Vice President
Media and Research of Faron Melrose Agency.

Welcome New Staff Member

Naz has joined staff at the  mission and is our new Bookstore Officer!   She is here to help you with all your book and lecture needs.  Since Naz has read alot of books herself, she will be very qualified to help you.

Assist Auditing

Nancy has been receiving assist auditing and had a big win today. Here’s what she had to say:

Toys for Tots!

The Palo Alto Mission is proud to be a donation drop off point for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

Bring a new unwrapped toy to the mission for the program – Feel the joy from giving!

Ana completed the Dianetics: the Modern Science of Mental Health Book Course!
